Want the tallest tower on earth in the same frame as the coast? See Burj Khalifa from the air as a 828-metre needle in Downtown Dubai, with Business Bay and the Dubai Canal around it.
Flights depart from Al Sufouh and run the Jumeirah coastline first, so on the 12-minute Iconic Tour the Burj is often in the distance rather than under the helicopter. You do not fly over Downtown on the short coastal loop. Longer 22- and 30-minute routes continue inland toward the canal and the tower, still as a skyline view rather than a rooftop pass.
Late afternoon and after dark are when the spire and the fountain basin read most clearly against the city grid.
Fly Over Dubai’s 12-minute tour includes this skyline view from the coast. The Vision and Grand Tours give more time toward Downtown, together with Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and Dubai Creek.
Book a helicopter tour and see Burj Khalifa from the air — the city’s vertical centre, set in the wider map of Dubai.
